Terms and conditions
Dear patient,
Thank you for your trust in the dental specialists of our practice. Our specialists are very busy and we therefore maintain a waiting list. Patients regularly miss their appointments, which makes it even more difficult to help everyone as quickly as we would like. For this reason we must be strict with patients who do not honour their appointments without cancelling at least 24 hours in advance. Below you will find the terms and conditions that apply to your appointments in our practices.

Subject of the agreement
2.1 The agreement consists of making an appointment at Mondzorg Zuid by phone, online or in person, and not cancelling it at least 24 hours in advance via the online agenda (only available when the appointment was booked online) or by phone. Cancellations by email are not accepted.
2.2 These terms apply to every agreement, in particular to the distance contract between the patient and Mondzorg Zuid comm. v., concluded after booking by phone or online with one of the dental specialists.
2.3 The terms of Mondzorg Zuid take precedence over any general terms of the patient.
Formation of the agreement
3.1 The agreement is concluded as soon as the patient has received the confirmation email and has not cancelled the appointment by phone at least 24 hours in advance.
Prices
4.1 Because it cannot be known in advance which examinations or treatments will be required, no exact price can be given before the first consultation.
Reservation and right of withdrawal
5.1 Only appointments made by phone or online are accepted.
5.2 Mondzorg Zuid comm. v. reserves the right to refuse or reschedule appointments and to contact the patient by phone about this.
Payments
6.1 All payments are made electronically: Maestro (free), Bancontact (free), Visa (3% extra), Mastercard (3% extra), American Express (5% extra), Payconiq (free).
Cancellation
7.1 Cancellation is only possible by phone and at least 24 hours before the appointment, or online if you booked online. A cancellation left on the answering machine is not accepted.
7.2 If the patient does not cancel in time, a reservation fee of €120 per hour is charged. A first consultation is usually a 45-minute appointment, so missing it results in a fee of €90.
7.3 If the reservation fee is not paid within eight days of receipt of the email, a penalty of 10% plus contractual interest of 10% is due.
7.4 If the patient does not cancel, they cannot invoke force majeure.
Applicable law and competent court
8.1 Only Belgian law applies to this agreement.
8.2 Only the courts of Ghent have jurisdiction over disputes.
Rights and obligations
Verbal treatment consent (art. 8 §1 Belgian Patient Rights Act) is the general rule. Refusal or withdrawal of consent is recorded in the patient file.
Any disruption of the practice by inappropriate behaviour will be communicated to the patient immediately. Time lost due to such behaviour will be charged.
As a patient you have a duty to cooperate: correct information, respecting appointments, instructions, and financial arrangements.
The patient has no free disposal of the results of the care contract, including medical devices, that have not been fully paid for.
Attempts at fraud immediately terminate the care contract with the dentist.
Finally
The dentist prefers to work in a clean mouth. Please brush your teeth thoroughly before your visit.
